Art Museum Exhibit
Hi Everybody!!
Today my family and I went to a free art exhibit at the Audain Art Museum about female wood carvers on the northwest coast. It was free, because today is a Canadian public holiday, Family Day. Family Day is a day for families to spend time together, so there were activities at the museum like a craft room and a scavenger hunt. The scavenger hunt was fun and educational, it made Lily and I pay more attention to the artwork and what they were made of. Some of the pieces were created using moose bone, bear fur, human hair and even old denim! Lots of the pieces had thunder birds in them, which I researched after and i think it's a legendary bird, not a real one. In the gift shop, I bought a T-shirt of my favorite artwork. The colours the artists used were so bold and vibrant, the reds, blues whites, and blacks looked amazing on the wood. This was my favorite art exhibition I have ever attended!
Write more soon,
