Lily's 12th B'day!!!

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday was Lily's 12th b'day!! She loved what I gave her, socks with ice-cream sandwiches on them and a bracelet that has a QR code that Lily can scan and track a giraffe on it! Her giraffe lives in Kenya. We ate pancakes for breakfast with syrup, whipped cream, fruit and dulce de leche.

We went to a soapstone (a really soft stone) carving class, and I made a tiny inukshuk and Lily made a book necklace. On the way there we saw a plant with very big leaves. Dad took a photo with my hand next to it. Then we ate some poutine and wings at the very first restaurant Mum and Dad ever went to in Whistler (it was in the year 2 BE (Before Emily :) ). We then went to the arcade and had a rematch at Mario karts! Lily won by HALF A SECOND!!!!!!! I WAS VERY CLOSE. Then we got pictures from the photo booth.

Lily's cake was a Nutella cream cake. It was devil's food cake with Nutella in the middle and on top was Nutella mixed with English double cream, strawberries and whipped cream. After cake, Lily and I watched the original Matilda movie.

It was a very fun day!!!

Write more soon,

Emily

  2. What a great post. Lilly, your birthday sounded so much fun! I really love the stone carvings too.
And how gorgeous were those leaves. Did you find out what tree it grows on?

  3. Our nature identifier app says that it's a devil's club!! It was very spiky the stem.
