Stratford-Upon-Avon trip

Hi Everyone!

Recently, my family and I took a trip to Stratford upon Avon, the birthplace and death place of William Shakesphere! It was such a cool town with all its Tudor buildings and Shakesphere monuments. The Avon itself was beautiful and had the most varied mass of waterfowl I've ever seen! Geese, swans, ducks, gulls. There was a super cool market with fancy candles, tiny crochet animals, HEAPS of badges and pins and bags made in Peru (Lily got one). We went to the Shakesphere bookshop, a fancy Christmas tree decoration shop, a magic/witch shop (for Lily) and we walked along the Avon. We even saw a guy dressed up pretending to be a statue! It was very cool. When you dropped a coin in his bucket (or paid him via paywave, everything has paywave these days!) he posed and you could take a photo with him. I have been told of statues in Melbourne singing and moving when you pay them, so I wish to see one of those one day, but this guy was still pretty cool. He did keep giving himself away by winking at all the passers-by though.

After we had explored a decent amount, we went at our old Wanaka neighbours place for tea and snacks. It was a wonderful catch up as we had not seen each other since they moved back to the UK.

Overall, Stratford-Upon-Avon was a super fun place to visit!

Write more soon,

-Emily
