Ambleside walks and Christmas Parade!

 Hi Everyone,

Today we are leaving Ambleside for Wales! This post is about what we've been up to for these two weeks.

We've gone on a lot of walks for one! To a waterfall, up a biiiiiiig hill and to a cool cave! The walks here are really beautiful (very wet as well) and I loved walking through Ambleside. We even saw a few tree stumps where people have stuck coins in them! They are really stuck in there tight, too! In the water cave, we saw lots of little fishes but they swam away after a dog jumped in after them.

In town there is a river (the water flows from the waterfall we went to see) and there is a tiny bridge with a small house on it! It's super cute so we went to have a look.

Yesterday Ambleside had its annual lighting of the Christmas lights around town. Our apartment had the PERFECT view of it all! We watched the parade come down the street and "Santa" on the back of a truck throwing magic dust (glitter I think) which made the Christmas lights around the street turn on. The lights were really pretty. The parade had two drum groups, some people in cool costumes and lots of members of the public who made lanterns. The lantern making looked fun, but we didn't have enough time to make one ourselves. The prettiest ones were pirate ships, jellyfish and fish.

Write more soon,

-Emily
